The client purchased this property in Camberwell with a view to renovating straight away. And when we say renovating, it was closer to a complete rebuild. The only elements remaining from the original house are the exterior walls and the roof.
Before the build began, we were able to run our eye over the plans and point out some issues that had a potential of blowing out the budget. The solutions we came up with kept the budget intact, enabled us to deliver the new home within the desired timeframe, and delivered an even better result than the initial designs offered.
This particular build really highlighted our strengths, which are bringing a builder’s eye to architectural plans before construction has begun and, conversely, using our design background to come up with alternate solutions that keep the budget intact.
This was a satisfying project for us and – more importantly – the client.
