Situated in the leafy streets of Alphington, this Californian bungalow renovation was thoughtfully reimagined to suit the evolving needs of a growing family. Working in collaboration with Interior Designer Martine Cooper from MCID, the brief centred around enhancing space, improving flow, and bringing a renewed sense of light and openness to the home, while still respecting its original character.

The design carefully balances old and new, with heritage details retained at the front and a contemporary extension opening up at the rear. Generous living zones, improved connection to the outdoors, and clever storage solutions ensure the home functions effortlessly for everyday family life. The end result is a warm, refined residence that feels both timeless and practical—perfectly tailored for modern living without losing its bungalow charm.
