Adding an outdoor entertainment area may seem like a straightforward process, but marrying a new addition to an existing build comes with its own challenges. The two must sit easily side by side and work together.

We took cues from the existing decking when designing and building the new decking around the pool and house. Over the years, the new timber will age beautifully under the sun, attaining that weathered, grey appearance of the original timber.

We’re big believers at Planned Homes that outdoor entertaining areas shouldn’t only be for sunny weather; they should be places you want to use regardless of conditions. This is the ethos we carried into designing this outdoor setting, taking advantage of beautiful natural elements such as stone and timber. And when the weather does closes over, the outdoor fireplace will really come into its own.
